Dior Crème de Gloss
Dior’s Crème de Gloss is just that: a lipstick in gloss form, lush color paired with a sexy sheen that should give it a permanent place in your makeup bag.

The description from the Dior website is:
“Its soft and gentle texture as a cream, with the lightness and freshness of a gloss, gives to your lips a “cocooning effect”, and offers, with its new ultra flexible applicator, a smooth comfortable film without sticky effect.
With all the wealth of a nectar, Crème de Gloss offers an absolute comfort, thanks to a concentrate of ultra-nourishing ingredients. Immediately smoothed, the smile is durably cared and shaped for perfect lips. Ultimate exploit, 6 hours after application, the hydration of your lips increases by 25%.”
And it’s true! After putting it on, my lips didn’t feel dry or sticky like they usually do with most glosses. The applicator is the usual doe-foot shape, but it’s a little more flexible, allowing it to easily follow the natural curve of the lip. I usually buy my makeup off of Strawberrynet because I like to avoid Japanese makeup counters and the free shipping and discounted prices are hard to turn down, but every site I looked at (Nordstrom, Sephora, etc.) all had different colored swatches ( there are 8 colors in all).
I ended up braving the Dior counter at Daimaru and chose the Peach Nectar 695….which I now notice is NOT listed as one of the colors on Sephora. Anyways, it’s medium toned coral color. I think that next time I’ll probably pick up the Creamy Gold 345, even though I’m having a love affair with the Rouge Nectar 845. The vampire look I get with true reds just doesn’t suit me though.
Crème de Gloss is a little pricey ($24.50 USD, ¥3,700), but it’s worth every penny spent on pampered, glamorous, and “cocooned” lips!
Update: here is a picture of me with the Peach Nectar on – only Crème de Gloss, no lipliner or other gloss included:
